If you are thinking of trying out your first Freediving course, these are the 7 skills you will be gaining:

  1. You will first learn the proper breathing technique for a breath-hold, and be able to hold your breath for up to 3 minutes!
  2. You will get a better awareness of your body and mind. This is not only good for freediving, but will improve your breathing and help you stay calm in your everyday life!
  3. You will learn how to equalize in an easy and effortless manner without experiencing ear pain . If currently you feel pain in your ears when going a few meters below the surface, don't worry, that is totally normal and should not hold you back from trying out freediving! There are several different types of equalizing which can allow you to go to depths you never thought were possible.
  4. You will be able to dive safely and comfortably to a depth of 10 meters or more!
  5. You will gain more confidence in the water . Learning about the inbuilt mechanisms which allow us to stay under water comfortably will make you realize that being in oceans or lakes is second nature to us!
  6. You will learn the proper technique for efficiency under water . Throughout the course you will better your swimming technique and become more streamlined. This will also lower oxygen consumption and make your dives longer and more enjoyable!
  7. You will learn how to do safety on a dive-buddy so you’re ready to practice freediving wherever you go!
